In memory of Her Majesty The Queen
Wilbarston Parish Council would like to express, and share with you, our great sadness at the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Our thoughts and prayers are with King Charles III and all the family at this time. As all the commentators are stating, these are unprecedented times. We feel so pleased that she was able to celebrate her 70th Jubilee, and that we in our community played our small but memorable part in that celebration in June.
In accordance with guidance and instruction from HM Government, the Parish Council has drawn up a schedule which reflects key events and activities at National and County level. We will share the details of this with you shortly. Books of Condolence will be placed in civic offices In Corby, Kettering and Market Harborough. You can also sign the online book of condolence at https://www.royal.uk and by using this approach your messages will be stored in the Royal Archives. We invite you to place any floral tributes you wish to make by the War Memorial in the Churchyard.
The Union Flag is now flying at half mast and will do so until all the formal Proclamations have taken place at National, Regional and Parish level in the next few days.
In sad but fond memory of a unique and special lady.
Wilbarston Parish Councillors and Clerk
