Wilbarston Supports Community First Responders
Wilbarston Parish Council is pleased to have donated £500 to North Northants Community First Responders for the purchase of life saving equipment.
East Midlands Ambulance Service provides emergency 999 care and telephone clinical assessment services for a population of 4.8 million people.
Community first responders (CFRs) are in schemes founded and run by volunteers who give up their spare time to attend appropriate emergency calls in their own community. They are dispatched by the EMAS Emergency Operations Centre.
Having a fully equipped volunteer community first responder in Wilbarston will help any residents experiencing cardiac arrest a much better chance of receiving the immediate help needed prior to the arrival of an EMAS crew.
