Neighbourhood Plan Public Meeting - Have Your Say

Sat, 25 Mar 2023 14:00

A Neighbourhood Plan For Wilbarston

YOUR SAY ON THE FUTURE OF OUR VILLAGE MATTERS.

COME ALONG TO SHARE YOUR VIEWS AT

THE VILLAGE HALL

ON SATURDAY 25TH MARCH 2023 AT 2.00PM

The meeting will enable Wilbarston residents to express their views about whether or not a Neighbourhood Plan is needed for the village and what sorts of things it should cover. When finally agreed after a local referendum and by the planning authority, such a Neighbourhood Plan will set the way for the parish for the foreseeable future. Its views will have planning clout. Without such a Plan, development on land surrounding the current village would be possible regardless of what the village felt if such development fitted with North Northamptonshire's plans.
The Neighbourhood Plan reflects the views and hopes of local residents and stakeholders, which is why your views are important. Those views will shape the plan's content and development by the Steering Group. Villagers will be kept informed and consulted at different stages- and the final plan is subject to a local referendum which requires majority support if it is to be adopted.
